In the last round Alekseev defeated Yevseev, Anisimov def. Orlov, and other games ended peacefully: A.Ivanov-Popov, Yemelin-Vitiugov, Loginov-Zakurdaev, and Solozhenkin-Ionov. Valery Popov becomes the champion of St.Petersburg-2006, Vassily Yemelin gets the silver (both scored 8/11), and Nikita Vitiugov gets the bronze. Evgeny Alekseev also scored 7.5/11, but finished 4th on tiebreak.
