For the 100th anniversary of the first international chess tournament in Czechoslovakia (Carlsbad 1907) a Czech Coal Carlsbad Chess Tournament 2007 will be held in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, September 7th to 15th. Eight famous grandmasters will play: Alexei Shirov 2735 ESP, Vladimir Akopian 2708 ARM, Ruslan Ponomariov 2706 UKR, Sergei Movsesian 2667 SVK, David Navara 2656 CZE, Viktor Korchnoi 2610 SUI, Viktor Lazniczka 2594 CZE and Jan Timman 2560 NED.
