England vs China in Liverpool
A match between England and China starts tomorrow in Liverpool, as a part of the international chess festival in honour of the 800th anniversary of the city. The same men team that played against Russia recently plus WGM Hou Yifan will fight six English grandmasters: M.Adams, N.Short, J.Rowson, N.Pert, G.Jones and D.Howell (one round Scheveningen). In the women section K.Arakhamia-Grant and J.Houska will play three games against both Shen Yang and Ding Yixin.

The opening ceremony of the competition took place in Krasnoyarsk today. The event is 11-round Swiss tournament, top six of 66 participants will qualify for the round robin Superfinal. Sergei Rublevsky 2679, Vladimir Malakhov 2676, Konstantin Landa 2669, Sergey Volkov 2659, Vadim Zvjaginsev 2658, Evgeny Tomashevsky 2654, Evgeny Bareev 2653 and Artyom Timofeev 2650 are at the head of the field.
