World Open in Pennsylvania
The 35th Annual World Open took place June 30th - July 4th in a place named King of Prussia, near Philadelphia. The traditional chess festival consisted of 9 tournaments amounting 1225 players. The main event was a 8-round Swiss, 92 players, 34 GMs. 8 GMs shared 1st place on 6/8: H.Nakamura USA, Ch.Sandipan IND, L.Yudasin USA, E.Najer RUS, A.Stripunsky USA, V.Mikhalevski ISR, V.Akobian USA, J.Becerra USA.
