05.06.2006 KIRSAN ILYUMZHINOV REMAINS FIDE PRESIDENT
 The voting at the FIDE General Assembly ended with the following result: Kirsan Ilyumzhinov got 96 votes of the delegates, and his only competitor Bessel Kok got 57. Thus the president of Kalmykia continues ruling the FIDE at least until the end of the first decade of the century.
