13.09.2005 Golden Blitz Tournament

Today, during the first playing day of the «Golden blitz» tournament of ACP-tour, men’s quarterfinal and women’s semi-final will take place.
Here is the program according to the results of the drawing procedure held in the conference room of the «Kosmos» hotel:
Tregubov-Pelletier – starting at 10 a.m.
Bareev-Short – starting at 11 a.m.
Motylev-Tkachiev – starting at 12 a.m.
Grischuk-Ponomariov – starting at 2 p.m.
The 2nd and the 4th matches are the most interesting ones, their participants being the favorites of the tournament.
The first men’s semi-final will be played by the winners of the first two matches and the second one – by the winners of the 3rd and the 4th matches.
The first women’s semi-final will be held at 3 p.m.: Zhu Chen-Kosteniuk.
The second women’s semi-final will be held at 4 p.m.: Skripchenko-Krush.
The matches will consist of two five minutes blitzes. In case of an even score there will be an additional drawing procedure to define the colors for the tie-break game with 4 minutes given to White and 3 minutes given to Black. In case of a draw Black goes to the next round.
