FIDE Ethics Commission: Crimes and Punishments
Decisions of the FIDE Ethics Commission are published, concerning accusations raised by V.Topalov and S.Danailov that V.Kramnik had been cheating during the World Championship match in Elista. The Commission issued a severe reprimand to Mr. Topalov and a reprimand and a warning to Mr. Danailov. Blitz Championships of Moscow, August 25-26
GM Alexander Grischuk became new Champion of Moscow. He made only four draws in the final tournament having won the rest 15 games and scored 17/19. 14 points scored GMs Evgeny Bareev and Vladimir Malakhov. WIM Daria Charochkina became Woman Champion, WGMs Svetlana Matveeva and Sandugach Shaidullina took silver and bronze medals.
