'Gazprom' to Finance Chess
'Gazprom-neft' company will partially finance chess events to be held in Khanty-Mansiysk: World Cup and Chess Olympiad 2010. The corresponding agreement has been signed today by Vice-President of the company A.Dybal and by President of Yugra Chess Federation V.Filipenko.

Championships of Russia for boys and girls under 8 years old were completed in Kostroma today. Champions are: Anna Vasenina of Moscow and Maksim Sinyavsky of Orenburg Region. Both won all 9 games. Best results among St. Petersburg players: Sofia Toporkova - 4th place, Mikhail Bekhovsky - 12th place.
